Frankenstein
Mary Shelley
I’ve finally read Frankenstein, albeit in this simplified Oxford Bookworms edition. What surprised me most was how much more there is to the story than the familiar image of a monster brought to life. Beneath the horror lies a story about loneliness, rejection, responsibility, and the consequences of creating something we are unwilling to take responsibility for. A short but fascinating introduction to Shelley’s classic.
